It's Cold Outside, We're Dreaming of Paper Flowers!
It’s starting to snow in Richland this week with really cold temperatures! The drier climate means less ice than in the Portland Metro, but chilly is chilly when the temps are in the 30s and it's been snowing much of the day as I write this post! It's been perfect for spending time developing new designs of crepe paper flowers including chrysanthemum, carnations and irises. Stay tuned each month a we explore the birth flowers and floral lore about them each month. Not a subscriber yet? Sign up today and receive 15% off your next order in the shop!

Building Our Local Following
We are excited to be building a new local following and connecting with the Tri-Cities community. February 15th we will host our first in-person paper flower workshop in our new area. Tickets are still available for this beginner friendly course on making crepe paper carnations. We are excited to be hosting this course at Spectrum Studios in their spacious and comfortable classroom.
On March 8 we will be one of the featured businesses in the silent auction at the Strides Therapeutic Horsemanship Center Annual Event. Come support this amazing program and help them raise needed funds for the coming year. Proceeds from their annual event go to developing and running therapeutic riding programs for people with special needs, first-responders and veterans. They are a non-profit in Pasco WA serving the greater Tri-Cities area. Please consider attending and supporting this amazing organization!
Just in time for Mother's Day, Little Red House Crafts will be a featured vendor at the spring market sponsored by Grace Hollow Markets. Come see us in person from 9-3 on May 10 in Kennewick WA. More to come as we get closer to the event!
2025 Flower Theme
Our 2025 flower theme will focus on the birth flowers of each month! Flowers have long standing traditions and meanings in every culture. Join us as we explore the lore and beauty of traditional birth flowers each month. January we celebrated carnations, one of the world's oldest cultivar of flowers, dating back as far as ancient Greece. February we are highlighting the elegant iris flower. Also an old bloom, this flower comes in many different colors and shapes. Stay tuned in coming months as we explore the lore of more beautiful flowers.
